Site Appraisal and Acquisition
We advise on the development potential of sites or existing
buildings and the route to achieving the most economical outcome with
the most efficient programme. If required we shall seek out and negotiate
the purchase of an appropriate site
The planning process has become ever more complex, with even the
simplest project now requiring a range of technical inputs before it will
be considered by a planning authority. We can advise on a range of
matters directly and have strong relationships with independent
consultants who can advise on technical issues including highways,
noise, environment, archaeology, ornithology etc.
We have a range of architects, consulting engineers, planning
supervisors and mechanical and electrical services consultants with
whom we have worked with for many years and we shall advise on the
most appropriate team for each project. We shall negotiate the consultants'
appointments, collateral warranties and novation agreements to ensure
the smooth running of the project, particularly during the disposal and
letting phase when such documentation is fundamental.
Long experience of procuring building contracts for in-house projects
allows us to advise on the most appropriate method for the form of
building and the client's specific requirements.
Our in-house construction staff will monitor the construction
and run the regular project management meetings to ensure the
completed building achieves the standards of quality and finish expected.
We shall also ensure that the Health and Safety File including the building
maintenance manuals meet both statutory and operational requirements.
Where a property is to be disposed of on completion we shall assist the
letting/sale agent and our clients solicitor with the necessary technical
information to allow the disposal to be undertaken with maximum efficiency.
